I'm selling a lot of rubber stamps for good prices over at my journal, almost all brand-new.

Items for sale [Feb. 5th, 2011|10:06 pm]
Scrapbooking Is Fun

Scrapbook items for sale - some stamps, rub ons, stickers, etc.  Some are just left overs from projects that I no longer need and others are brand new and I've never touched them.  Prices are negotiable and do not include shipping.  I can cut/fold larger items to fit in smaller envelopes if you would prefer to keep shipping costs down. (I also have padded priority mail envelopes that I can ship whatever will fit in them for $5 if you are interested in getting a lot of items) Click on the thubnails to view larger size.

There are 47 images under the cut.

Scrapbooking Is Fun

ETA: I'll give it the weekend and see what everyone has to say -- and if I don't remember by late Monday and you want to poke me for a follow up, please do.

Hello Community!

I have gotten a complaint about spam in the community and a request to make all posts moderated.

I looked at the community archives for about 6 months and I only saw one spam post, which has been removed. I have not banned the poster though. If there were other posts, those are gone. I also looked at comments and did not see any spam there. Again, if some were posted, they have been removed and so I don't see them.

I don't mind having to approve posts since the community is not super busy. However, that will create a lag in posts appearing, since I am not on LJ every day and I have extremely limited access to the internet on a computer while at home. If I can approve posts via email (using my phone) then that would be pretty quick, since I check my email on my phone at least 2 times a day. But if I have to come to LJ to approve posts, it would be a longer wait for posts to appear. I have just finished grad school so I have been too busy to spend much time on LJ the past several months.

It seems like we are only getting maybe one post a month on here right now, so it is not a big backlog of posts daily.

How do people feel about posts being moderated before appearing? Is this something you would all want done?

Scrapbooking Is Fun

I've decided to make the leap and buy a Silhouette, and a blog I follow had an awesome coupon code but my tax return didn't arrive in time for me to use it. :( Does anyone know of any other blogs hosting discounts for it?

I couldn't find a small a scrapbook that I liked, so I made one from scratch. I took the back off notebooks, wrapped them in paper and punched a hole in the corner. the pages themselves are just 2 pieces of papers glues together. I even quilled a few of the embellishments.

Scrapbooking Is Fun

Hi everyone! I'm planning on making some scrapbook pages for family members as gifts this Christmas. I found a store that sells frames to fit a 12x12 scrapbook page in them and they were $48! I can't afford this. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can make a page for displaying?

I did find this, but I have no idea what it is! If anyone is able to recommend something Australian links/products would be awesome as I don't want to be buying from overseas.

Thank you!

First time posting pages [Sep. 15th, 2010|01:40 am]
Scrapbooking Is Fun

Well, I finally got around to actually trying scrapbooking, after gathering my nerve (and supplies) for ages. My sister drags me to a really fun crop-night type thing at our local scrapbooking store once a week. Here are the pages I've made so far, with the help of Jeanette Lynton's awesome books. I'm crap at journalling, so a lot of that hasn't been done yet.

These are in order of first page made to latest.

Please let me know what you think, and I welcome constructive criticism! My next goal is to try to get more creative with embellishments, and to work on more little details like stitching, ribbon, etc. to dress the pages up a bit.
